I have consulted on questions of art-science, co-creation, futures, and creative tech for numerous organizations. For instance:
- I worked with the John Giorno Foundation to build a contemporary implementation of John Giorno’s Dial-a-Poem project – particularly the back-end tech and design to support the work.
- I served on Stanford University’s search committee for the Vice President of the Arts as the only artist and alumni member.
- I was a storytelling consultant for Doris Duke Foundation’s Building Bridges program.
I’ve also worked with Cinereach, San Francisco Symphony, the Rockefeller Foundation, Queer | Art, Intermedia Arts, Pioneer Works, The Public Theater, Gob Squad, and more.
If you’d like to work with me as a consultant or panelist, send me a note.
Artist Advising
I’m available to advise other artists on questions of collaboration with scientists and scientific ideas, scaffolding multidisciplinary and complex projects, creative process, fundraising, effective co-creation, and immersive media.
For artists of any background and career stage who are seeking one-off or sustained support, feel free to reach out. My fee structure for advising will vary based on the nature and scope of engagement. I’m able to hop on for an initial conversation to work this out before moving forward. I’ve worked with both individual artists and artist companies.
In addition to independent advising, I’m a coach for the MAP Fund Scaffolding for Practicing Artist (SPA) program, in which I advise Jerome Foundation artist fellows, and a mentor for the New Inc program.
